Re radio records

Recently I’ve been picking up records that came from Contact FM. It’s a radio station managed by students of the University of Waikato here in Hamilton, established in 1974.

They’re all in excellent condition, but all have heavy tape stuck on the top and bottom of the sleeve. It makes sense that they would want to protect them from wear in a large library. They also used a permanent marker pen to claim ownership, and a catalogue number label. Again, understandable why – but it is a form of art vandalism!

Devonsquare is an example of interesting finds I’ve added to my collection. Not known to me before, and a nice album.

And for a just $1 donation to the op shop, a worthwhile bargain.
