Phil Keaggy without words

Whilst I’ve been a fan of Phil Keaggy’s virtuosic and prolific guitar prowess and songwriting, I also shied away from his religious themes and lyrics.

What I hadn’t appreciated is that he’s made quite a number of instrumental albums.

Then I found this one, and it’s an impressive collection from 1996, especially Watt Ever (220 Jam), which was recorded live in the studio.

It was mastered by pioneering mastering master Doug Sax. He bypassed recording tape for Sheffield Lab, so I had high expectations, and I’m not disappointed.
