If not audiophilia, then what?

An amusing read, but it has all been said before. An audiophile loves the the sound, a technophile loves the equipment, and music is loved by a musicophile.

Those are the formal names, in English.

Finding an alternative likely brings a different meaning. Why is that necessary?

All three terms are rather archaic. If you don’t like them, don’t say them. But don’t redefine what is clear and precise.
