Pete Sayers – the only Englishman at the Opry

Quite a few Brits have tried to make it in Country music. Sayers made it big in the folk end, even running the English version of The Grand ‘Ol Opry.

This was his debut solo album from 1972. The songs were inspired by his experiences in Nashville and New Orleans in the late 1960s.
