The Death of Physical Media – Revisited

My sense is that most unused vinyl records and CDs are in storage or various secondhand sales outlets (many soon to be discovered and saved by me!). I wonder how many discs are truly being discarded to the point of destruction, plastic recycling, repurposing (vinyl fruit bowl, anyone?) and landfill dumping.
