This 1993 covers album features Robin Trower on guitar among a stellar cast of other players. Johnson Somerset (producer and remixer, and long-tume friend of Bryan Ferry) was a fan of Trower and recommended him to Ferry. He did a session for them and they got along very, very well. Ferry liked what Trower had to say about what he was doing and asked him to come back and help him organize the album because he had about fifty songs. This was Trower’s first production credit. At first it seems an unlikely pairing, but evidently worked nicely for both, as Trower went on to resolve his own recordings issues after a run of unsuccessful albums.
