The vinyl resurgence is real, but it won’t save the record industry

The interest in vinyl records is far greater than new sales revenues indicate. My guess is that most records bought are used or new old stock. I might buy a couple in a year, if on special offer, otherwise I consider them over-priced and inconsistent quality. Most of my music interest is available on ‘old’ discs, and to be found in charity and secondhand shops and garage sales. In the meantime, the revenue in the music industry shrinks ever more.
