You know those card CD sleeves that look and feel much nicer than a plastic crystal case? The ones that scuff the disc when inserting and removing it repeatedly. Well, I found this excellent reissue of Miles Davis’ Birth of the Cool album in a high quality outer sleeve, complete with the original album notes and supplementary text, as well as eight bonus tracks from other sessions from about the time the album was recorded. But the best feature is the rather natty inner sleeve for the disc. The package is remastered in 24-bit and was issued by Crackerjack Records, 2015. It’s my first CD made in Spain. Al-in-all, a very nice package.
